Back in Motion Telehealth Kinesiology aims to mimic the usual in-person sessions. This includes an assessment to identify areas of weakness and restriction, customized exercise prescription, and education regarding pain-management techniques, pacing, and injury prevention. The goal of these sessions is to help return our clients to their regular life activities, through the education on active rehabilitation (strengthening, mobility and stretching exercises).
Telehealth Kinesiology sessions are done in a one-on-one setting, from the comfort of your own home, using the equipment you have on hand.
Back in Motion Telehealth services allow clients to connect with their kinesiologist in a secure, easy, innovative and convenient way!

Telehealth Kinesiology sessions are fully covered by ICBC, and may be fully or partially covered by other private insurance companies or providers. To inquire about your coverage, call any of our locations to speak with a staff member that can answer your questions.

Generally, individuals with musculoskeletal conditions respond well to active rehabilitation (Telehealth or in-person). Kinesiology sessions through Telehealth are right for you if you have been in a motor vehicle accident, have sustained a mild sport injury, neck pain, lower back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, arthritis, osteoarthritis, as well as individuals that would like to maximize your physical well-being and fitness levels.

Telehealth sessions and in-person appointments follow the same structure for Kinesiology sessions. During Telehealth sessions, there is no hands-on treatment, but with video access, your clinician is able to ensure proper technique and completion of exercises. Kinesiologists will assist you to perform your exercise routine with what you have around the house instead of typical gym equipment.

WorkSafeBC Claims
Workplace injuries are usually due to trauma or overuse. If you have been injured as a result of a workplace activity, our team of experts at Back in Motion can perform a comprehensive assessment and develop a treatment plan to reduce your symptoms and rehabilitate your injury.
If your claim is approved by WSBC, your initial assessment is 100% covered with a WorkSafeBC Claim number. Once your claim has been accepted by WorkSafeBC, the full treatment cost of your appointments will be funded (within the approved time parameters). When you are ready, your physiotherapist will work with you, your employer, physician, and WorkSafeBC Case Manager to develop a safe and appropriate return to work plan. If your claim has been denied or is disallowed, the expenses will need to be covered by the Client.
