What to Expect from Your Appointment
Before Your Appointment
Prior to your visit, you may be advised on any necessary preparations. Please bring any relevant diagnostic test results (e.g., X-rays, MRIs) if applicable.
Your First Appointment
Your initial visit includes a comprehensive assessment, during which your chiropractor will gather your medical history and conduct a physical examination. This includes evaluating posture, movement, muscle tone, and neurological signs. Based on this assessment, your chiropractor will provide a diagnosis and explain the recommended treatment plan. If time allows, your first visit may also include a treatment session.
Subsequent Appointments
Subsequent treatments are tailored to your specific diagnosis and health history. Your chiropractor will use manual techniques to manipulate soft tissues and joints, promoting healing and restoring pain-free function. You will be reassessed regularly, and adjustments will be made to your treatment plan as needed. Home care advice, including exercises and stretches, will be provided to optimize results.
After Your Appointment
It is normal to experience some soreness or tenderness in the treated areas for a day or two after treatment. Your chiropractor will advise you on appropriate home care, including the use of heat or ice, specific exercises, and maintaining proper posture.
