About Telehealth Physiotherapy / Telerehabilitation
Physiotherapy Telehealth, also known as Telerehabilitation, includes all aspect of patient care: Interview, Assessment and Diagnosis, Treatment recommendations and planning, exercise prescription, education, and functional/activity level progressions. The physiotherapist will screen to make sure no further medical investigations or consultations are needed. Your Physiotherapist will work with you to create relevant, achievable goals of treatment.
Who May benefit from Telehealth Physiotherapy?
Telehealth/ Telerehabilitation with BIM is intended for anyone with acute or chronic musculoskeletal pain, or difficulties with physical function, and/or chronic health conditions where exercise or activity modifications are recommended. You do not need a physician referral, and most insurance carriers cover Telehealth through direct billing.

The following common injuries or conditions are successfully treated through Physiotherapy Telehealth: back pain, neck pain, shoulder/elbow/wrist pain, hip/knee/ankle pain, , sprains and strains, arthritis, dizziness, and concussions.

Telehealth vs In-Person Appointments
Some Physiotherapy treatment modalities utilized in in-person appointments are not available through Telehealth. However, the majority of injuries and conditions respond well to powerful treatment interventions that are utilized through Telehealth.

Is Telehealth Covered under my Extended Health Plan?
